You are invited Tuesday morning, August 30 at 9:00 a.m. at church to view the movie The First Rosa. This 42-minute film tells the untold story of Lutheran educator and church planter Rosa J. Young. There was another Rosa, but Rosa Young was first. Rosa Parks started a civil rights revolution; Rosa Young started a spiritual revolution.
Born to an ordinary life in an ordinary town in rural Alabama, Rosa J. Young was anything but ordinary. With a passion for helping others, educating children and sharing the Gospel, Rosa accomplished extraordinary things for her community and the kingdom of God. She was instrumental in founding and promoting 30 Lutheran elementary schools and 35 Lutheran congregations in Alabama’s “Black Belt.” Her legacy is unparalleled as an educator, confessor and church planter for Christ and His Church.
All are invited to join us to view The First Rosa Tuesday, August 30 at 9:00 am.
